Maggy Jacinto and Melvin Gonzalez in El Salvadorian TV

A new Bombadilian is always welcome!

We at Bombadil Publishing welcome our new mentor and representing us in the Central-American area, Margarita Alfaro Bulle. Margarita has a degree in psychology and she’s working in her country El Salvador as well. She is a very talented writer with experience in magazines and local newspapers, etc. and best of all, she shares our philosophy, to build communicate between young writers and to help them with the development of their books, their feelings and their wishes.

This summer Bombadil will supply the very first two books in Spanish, our metor in Peru, Maggy Jacinto, has had several intensive weeks with these two books. The first one named “31 Cuentos Cortos” writen by the young and talented writer Mario Chavez Jovel, who is living in Calgary, Canada. The second one named “La Dama de negro y otros cuentos” writen by the young and talented Rogger Avendaño, who is living in the city of Tacna, Peru. Bombadil is very excited to meet these two young writers and put into their very own hands their finished books, to present them with their crowning work, a magnificent work provided by the Bombadil feelings, the feeling which is growing and growing.

Yesterday

I got a reproof yesterday, this very young boy and very good writer, who asked me why I forgot him because I didn’t send any mail. The thing is that we in Bombadil Publishing AB are very busy with our visit to Latin America next month and we are preparing our travel to these beautiful and warm countries. Our charming managing director Mrs. Marianne Rugård, our clever Vice-president Mr. Niklas Järvstråt and myself will be visiting several countries this summer and meeting you young writers and talking about our wonderful world, the Bombadil world, the world we are creating together. My dear friend “Chuck” Don’t think that I can forget you, not for a moment, you young writers are my inspiration, I could never stop thinking about you.

As I wrote, we in Bombadil Publishing AB will travel to Latin America and visit several countries, this will be a fantastic meeting with these beautiful, young and intelligent writers. We shall visit my old dear country El Salvador and is possible Mexico, Venezuela and Peru too. We’ll see all you young people and talk about our deep feelings, our wishes and, more important, your feelings and wishes. That will be a Bombadil feeling, our feeling to make a better world, a world with your books, ours books; books of the world, these books will be our legacy to the next generations, your generations, the future generations,Bombadil’s generations.

“A clean hippie is not a good hippie”

I was down town on Wednesday, there was music somewhere; there was a song which reminded me of the old days back in the seventies. I strolled to a park and I could see a band trying to play “Black dog” from Led Zeppelin, I say the band tried because them was not so good as Led Zeppelin, but the members of the band wore this clothes very similar that I wore back in the early seventies, when the hippie thing was in fashion. When I was about thirteen years old I did want to be a member in a pacifist group whom protested again the Vietnam War, there were a lot hippies much older than my self, I remember that we did wear flowers as symbol of peace and love.

The first day everybody was happy with me and I came back every morning to the park, as my mother don’t allowed me to sleep in the park as the rest of the hippie gang. I come back every morning and I begun to see that everybody was wearing the same clothes, whereas I was wearing brand new clothes and several members of the hippie gang came to me and tried to stop me being with me. A guy who was a kind leader told to me to go, I was very sad and I asked him why? The man answered, with good manner, “Don’t you see that a clean hippie is not a good hippie.”

I left the group very sadly and went home, but I can’t forget the feeling this people transmitted me, the feeling to love everybody and don't spread war, instead spread love.

This feeling has persecuted me until now, I am so exalted over all the love our Bombadilians around the world send me and to all our staff in Bombadil Publishing, all these young people who send messages of love and peace in this very special manner, through writing poems in our Social Network, this special love get me this “clean” feeling, which is a wonderful experience, a marvellous feeling, a Bombadil feeling.

The inspiration is Contagious!

Last Monday, a girl from Venezuela wrote about her feelings when she read our home page on the internet; she said that she has a dream to write a book for several years. Despite her early older, she is 19 years old, and when she read, as she wrote to me, was she contagious of all the things she find in Bombadil Publishing home page and then she get inspired.

She promised to me to come back later with her "fantastic history", she will prepare and organize her "chaos" as she said. Well, I was very happy and was inspired myself from this girl, I felt like when I first fell in love back in the seventies, that feeling; which is difficult for me to explain; it took me like a hurricane deep in my soul, this happiness was transmitted to me directly from this young girl's note and I became "contagious" too. As well as this Venezuelan girl, there are many other young people around the world too who are writing their books together with a Bombadil mentor, and they get “contagious” too, well, I mean inspired, this is the new way around the world - the young people meet together, in a sociable way through writing, through books, through Bombadil Publishing. What a feeling! Youth 2 Youth!

Hi again all Bombadillians!
I can’t remember why but I thought about my old philosophy teacher, back in high school, when he asked me: “Well, Melvin, Do you think you can tell?” And I’d answer: “About what?." My teacher answered, “Anything between heaven and hell” and he continues “there is a feeling, read about it”. I was pretty sure I’d do it! Of course I could understand that! That was my first idea. Well, who can’t tell heaven from hell? This happened when I took an important decision which went on to influence all my life. I suppose it was the very best decision I took. Years later that decision got me in trouble and I felt it was a really hell. I have written about this through the written word people get a better understanding, because you can read over and over again. Like all young Bombadilian authors all over the world, these young writers are writing about feelings, about sensations, about experiences and there are more people around the world who are able to read what these young Bombadilians have written. I want the entire world to get that Bombadil feeling through reading! Our young writer do that. I can tell all you that is where heaven is!

I am very excited to be here! In this beautiful town, Gyttorp, in the middle of Sweden, it's like paradise, among several deep blue lakes, and the spring is running to us together with the sunshine. But I'm so happy to be in this Blog too, and be a part of this great family Bombadil.

A girl from Argentina amazed me with her starting of a book, and another girl, from my own dear country, El Salvador, put a little bit of emotion in my marvellous life; both girls wrote about feelings, both wake up inside me a lot feelings that I thought I had forget, my tears want to run out but I could stop them in time. Silly me.

This Saturday will my dear work colleague Sara will read poetry in the city of Trollhattan and all the Bombadil family will be there to hear Sara, this is something we look toward. This morning I woke up when two big, shining white swans played in the lake beside my bedroom and I was happy, usually I get mad when I wake that early in the morning, but this two swans sounds very happy and I can't avoid to be contagious by their play and like this two swans playing I really hope that you young people will playing with Bombadil. See you next week Bombadilians!
