Last week: A lot of work, fun and nostalgia

Last week was the busiest week ever with Bombadil Publishing with hundreds of enquiries pouring in. Though I am not surprised at all; if you are running for a cause, people are bound to join you. “Great Job!” “Well Done!” “All the Best” echoed my ears. Youths are so curious to know about what’s going on at our office, our soon to be launched 3D social network and lots and lots of questions about Bombadil authors and books.

Then we celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights and prosperity and now, another merriment- Chhat festival- is in the queue that is widely celebrated in the major regions of India especially in the northern states. My mother gave me a hopeless call, “You aren’t coming this time again?” I regretted not seeing my parents for three years now. Hopefully they come to us next month.

I really miss this festival which is dedicated to the Sun. Chhat is worshipping the rising sun in knee-deep water of Holy Ganges at the dawn as well as the sunset holding a basket containing variety of fresh fruits, dry foods and sweets. Devotees take customary holy dip and begin to chant the Gayatri Mantra. It has great impact on spiritual and physical aspects purifying the truculent mind from all dinginess of evil potent, remedying the earthy suffering of mankind and blessing with health and prosperity.

Women have to follow certain rules like abstaining from eating or consuming water, cooking meal and wearing any stitched cloths for the whole auspicious 24 hours. Women summon the Sun God singing traditional devotional song in chorus. This ritualistic aroma ends with consuming variety of folk dishes including every agricultural, seasonal item and vegetables.

I’ll miss my mother and elder sister on this very auspicious day. I wish I take the entire Bombadil team to my place Bodhgaya, the place where Buddhism was born.

rain, rain, rain and food

Hello you all

Well today it has been a rainy day here in Gyttorp (Nora), hmmm not so funny at all. As you now know I prefer sun and warmth so today was not "my" day. Unfortunately this weather comes with the autumn. You(I) can´t be out as much as you(I) want, well you can if you have good raining clothes. Hmm my rain trousers are leaking :-(, actually I need some new raining clothes. Today I didn´t bike to work, I did go by car (not me driving) that was okej. But I like to bike even when it´s raining, well no to much. I can the road so well, so I bike that way by routine and can think about whatever comes in my mind. And sometimes I totally forget where I´m actually is going so it has happen that I have bike a bit to far from the road I should turn at :-)):-)). It´s nice that actually be able to so totally "let go" of what you are doing and actually think or just let out and clean your mind.


Rain, rain, rain.........

Foooood. Today I and the rest of Bombadil crew did some food together, well Sara and I did the most of it :-)). It was on Monday I think that I got that idea to make food to us all, sometimes I do get some bright ideas :-)). It was fun and it is always better and nicer taste on the food when you actually has done it and can eat it straight away. Normally I have food with me and warm it upp in the microwave, and it do lost some taste when you do like that not all food but a lot. What had I decided to make then? Well I had something in mind and actually did it. It is a kind of fish "pot". It contains at least two different kind of fish, apple, paprika, long leak, cream and some other stuff. To that we had rice and a nice salad with cucumber, salad, radishes and some herbs from my small greenhouse. The rest in the sallad was from the store.
It's nice to do things like this together once in a while, maybe we will do this some more times. we will see.

Excitement and social networks

At the moment the office is buzzing with excitement: summer is nigh with its wonderful long nights and we are presently working on the author school. Well I am not really, but my colleagues are. They certainly make me smile when I see their antics :-D

We are also working on something amazingly original and innovative. We are taking our social network into a new phase, which will be released as a Zeta version - perhaps. Or alpha because it is truly unique and amazing. We will be planning it in more detail tomorrow and I hope we will soon be able to send out a press release about it. So stay tuned… Sorry about the suspense, but we do not want anybody else to run away with the idea before we are completely on track. But I hope you will all be as excited about it as we are.
