Our grand travellers have now left for Latin America and the office feels rather empty frankly, it´s quieter and a bit darker for some reason. The only advantage as I see it is the fact that I can play music as loud as I want. Without disturbing a single soul. Mari´s office is too far away for her to be disturbed ;)
There are a lot of things for Marianne, Niklas and Melvin to do, they are meeting up with the minister of culture in El Salvador and I think a dinner with the president was on the schedule too. (Correct me if I´m wrong)Further they are visiting an orphanage and Melvin mother even! In Peru the release of our two new Spanish titles will be held and hopefully lots and lots of press will be there to acknowledge the authors and their great books! In the previous blog post by Melvin you can read more about these books.
But, back to Sweden... The office is empty and the Bombadil dog Pixie is a bit worried about the fact that Marianne is not here, but Pixie is in good hands with the rest of the Bombadil staff. She spent last night wakening up poor Mattias and apparently she really enjoyed jumping up and down in his bed, whilst he was trying to sleep after dropping our grand travellers in Örebro to catch their coach to the airport. He mentioned something about snoring too, I just can´t recall if he was talking about himself or the dog. Since she is staying with me the coming week I think I will invest in a pair of ear plugs, just to be on the safe side.
During the time Marianne, Niklas and Melvin is gone the Bombadil work in the Bombadil office continues as usual. And we have a new project to start up, which we need all our readers, mentors and authors to participate in! We want to have pictures of people all over the world photographing themselves wearing Bombadil t-shirts for our new "Bombadil all over the world"-photo album. So if you happen to have a Bombadil t-shirt, take a photograph in front of something that is typical or representative for your country and send it to us! I for example; I would probably have my picture taken whilst sitting on an elk (?) or strolling around in a great forest... Yeah something like that.
And if you don´t have a Bombadil t-shirt yet, check out this link to get one! http://www.cafepress.com/Bombadil

I am back!
After four weeks holiday I sort of had forgot my regular duties and commitments, which lead to me forgettng to blog last Monday. I do apologise for this rather fatal mistake, but here I am, back with more energy than ever!...Except for today. My energy levels are not as high as they should be after a weekends rest, well saying that, my head is working harder than ever. But my body is not, therefore I am working from bed today. Believe it or not. And no, I have not moved my bed into the office, but I am working from home (Trollhättan) today. The reason for my soar feet and exhausted legs might be that me and some friends went to the Swedish amusement park Liseberg yesterday, lots of fun, but still so exhausting! As a child I could run back and forth in that place for hours, not remebering to eat or caring about what the time was. Energy must have got lost on the way. Somewhere from 12-22 years old I have seemed to been a victime of energy loss. Very peculiar.
Well, anyway I am back at work and it feels like I never been away. The Bombadil dog Pixie looked just the same, John is still pulling his same old jokes and the coffee tastes the same. Good to be back.
A lot of things are happening at the moment in the Bombadil HQ, one thing is that I will take over some work from Mariannes and start being her assitant more or less. Obviosly I will still also be a mentor like before and still handeling my own projects and take care of our website. But now also do some more administrive work. Which I am very happy to do, since I like new challenges and learning new things. The wisedome of today therefore is: Challenge yourself and gain experience. Hell yeah!

A sunny day
Hello everyone
Bye bye for this time and have a nice day.
Finally there is a nice sunny and warm day :-)). The spring is here.
Today our new co-worker began here at the Bombadil office. Melvin Gonzalez is his name. He will be mentoring our Spanish speaking authors. Maybe he will teach us some Spanish too :-)).
Niklas is also happy. He got the answer on the water test he took cin the mine. The water is fine, you can actually drink if you want.
Right now I´m doing some book templates. It has a lot to do with placing the stuff in the proper place so everyone will understand it. I will continue with it tomorrow. On Friday I'll not be here, im´m on my way to a meeting.
And we are hopefully soon be working together with a big Swedish company; it´s well known. You will hear more about it later.
Pixie is not around at all today, I think she is a bit tired. She can actually lie down on command, with some help of a treat :-)). At the picture (taken by mobile phone) she is doing that.
Bye bye for this time and have a nice day.

Sunny Wednesday
Hello everyone
Well Wednesday again and my and Pixie´s time to blog.
Hmm Pixie has not been around so much, well she has been here to look if I had some treat for her :-)):-)) and then going of in her usual speed. Her being around the office is nice, that makes it so I´m not missing my dogs at home all the time. I´m so used to have them around me (even in the bed under the blanket).
Otherwise it has been some nice days here, with sun and a bit warmer outside. Oh I really hope the spring will come more and more now. One thing that is springtime for me is when it is time to sow tomato seeds and some other stuff, I did that in the weekend. So the spring is on its way!
As both John and Sara has mentioned before the ants and other small creatures will wake up and they often come inside, I told them that. But at my office I don´t have ants, luckily. Hmm my suggestion with white pepper was meant to have just a little bit on the floor not the whole bottle, well it tickled your nose anyway.
Otherwise I have finished setting another book and it is sent to the printing company, very exiting :-)). At the time we have at least three books there to be printed. And more are going on.
A new thing to me is that I´m now also a mentor. Not so much to do yet but it will be some exiting time to do this thing, as I´m so new to it. Luckily I have Marianne, Sara, John and Niklas to ask if there are something that I´m not sure on. And they will get some questions, that they can be sure on :-)).
On the picture Ubbe has found some nice smell, maybe something to eat he thinks. And Pixie is investigating him to know who he is. It was Ubbe´s first day as an office dog.

Have a nice week and weekend

Wednesday and barking
Hello out there
Very soon Sara's book will be printed. And I have just ending the setting on another book. So it is going on in a good speed so far. And it will be really fun when we have those books in our hands. Well they are the first ones that I´m involved in so it is exciting for me.
-Pixie come here, I have someting for you. (Mari)
-Voff, voff, sniff, sniff, sniff. I want it now can I have it please? (Pixie)
-Can you do some tricks for me first? (Mari)
Pixie laying down.
-I´m lying down, is that OK. (Pixie)
-Yes it is OK. Here you have some candy. (Mari)
-I like it. Can I have some more? (Pixie)
-No not now. You can get some more later in the afternoon. (Mari)
-No not now. You can get some more later in the afternoon. (Mari)
The electrician comes, and of goes Pixie very fast. You can hear her very well, she can sound a lot. Voff, voff, voff and voff she goes on. That can drives you nuts sometimes.
The week has been good. Well Monday was as Sara mentioned a bit "dosy". We were all up late on Sunday. But it was fun to go to Stockholm to have some good food, meeting some people that you haven´t meet before. And then going to the theatre was really fun. Then Tommy showed as around a bit in Stockholm in the dark. Then Marianne drove a bit wrong when we was going home. We got us a guided tour in the central of Stockholm:-)):-)).
On the way home it was coming more, and more snow. I think we are pretty fed up with the snow now, well at least John is. And me to actually, me and my dogs want springtime now.
Where I live we have a big garden and on the backside there will come a lot of wild animals, like deer. In the winter time we give them some food, like carrots and some other stuff. They will come quite close to the house, not afraid at all. Look at the pictures. Not so good quality on them, they are taken by a mobile phone.

And I have finally a bookshelf in my office. Now it is not so much stuff on the desk any more :-)).
Have a nice week and weekend

Wensday blogging, again
Hello everyone
What shall we blog about today?
Hmm Pixie is not here at the moment. Well she would come here if I told her that I have some treat for her :-)):-)). I like her, she's a small energetic dog which is something that I like. My two (three sometimes) dogs at home are like that, hmm maybe the oldest one is not that anymore (he is 12 years now).
Here at the office Sara and I have finished her book and sent it for the first printing, it is exciting! Right now i´m doing the setting on another book, totaly different to Sara´s and that is fun. Hmmm I am also fixing with a Power Point presentation. It is telling what i´m doing here and what I have done so far, shortly described.
And my office is not so empty anymore :-)). I have at the moment two computors, one PC and one MAC, well i´m not so used to the MAC yet but I will learn. I´m just missing a bookshelf to put my books and some other stuff.
The weather is not so fun at all. I´m cycling to work and the road is full of snow and it is a bit slipery as it is a lot of ice also. It is melting during the day and frezing during the nights, grrr. Not fun at all.
On the picture you can se the way to the entrance of work and how much snow it is. Hopefully it in spring time soon and a lot of sun.

Hello everyone
Pixie here, I'm getting some help with the blog today. Its the new co-worker Mari who is helping me. She is nice because she has treats with her some days :-)), she knows what a dog likes. But today she had a cap with her for me, that was not funny at all :-( I don't want things like that. I will now leave over to her so she can do some "blogging"

Hello everyone, Mari here.
Well what shall I blog about, hmmmm. First of all I like dogs and it is heaven to work in a place that the other staff also like dogs. I have 2 dogs at home - they are Basenjis and there is also an old horse.
I have only worked here for about 1½ weeks so I am still learning how it all works here. So far I have helped Sara with her poetry book, placing the really nice pictures on her in proper places. I like to do things like that so I hope it will be more layout work. On Monday Niklas also asked me if I could help him with the homepage for Moon Mine, he want to do some changes on it and to do the update a bit easier. So that have I done since that, fixing with the site.

Time after time
Recently, the time zones have been playing up. Sweden is traditionally one hour ahead of the UK, however due to a rent in the space/time continuum, Sweden is temporarily three days behind. Therefore I am not writing my Friday blog entry on Friday, you are just reading it on Monday.
Honest...
It's a very beautiful day in Sweden today. We had around half a metre of snow on Sunday with the result that I fell out of my house and into a large snowdrift this morning. I'm now in the office, but I am on to my third pair of socks of the day.
Our expansion plans are, well, going to plan, which is exciting. If things carry on as they are at the moment, we will have a presence across the globe before too long. In the mean time, Marianne experimented with dog charming...

Then the dog decided that it wasn't charming and got its own back on Marianne.

The flute that she's playing has an interesting history. Niklas was in a musical instrument shop when he happened to stand on it, hence it came into his ownership. It was completely squashed at one end, but he worked on it with a pair of pliers until it played naturals as well as flats.
We're currently working on the Bombadil website, generally updating the interface and adding an FAQ section. If you think it's lacking something, let us know.
In other news, the Bombadil dog currently smells like three-day-old kippers.

A dog's life
This week, everyone in my office has been running around like a headless chicken. Mmmm, chicken. I like chicken. I've been very sensibly sleeping most of the time. That's not to say I haven't been doing any work though; I barked at the postman once yesterday and twice today. I've been taking Sara for a walk in the evenings too. I'd be happy to snooze in my basket all evening, but if she wants to go out then I don't mind taking her. It's important to make sure that your humans get enough excercise, otherwise they can forget to buy delicious biscuits when they go shopping. Mmmm, I like biscuits.

Dog blogging...
Yawn. Woof. So its my day to blog again. I'm very tired as I've spent all week dealing with a large pile of lamb bones left over from Sunday lunch. I've decided to give the biggest, juiciest one to Niklas. I've put it under a big pile of socks in his wardrobe for him. I hope he likes it.
I borrowed Marianne's credit card when she wasn't looking and ordered some doggy perfume online. It's called "Fromage de Chausette" and I think it smells great. It must be great because everyone keeps remarking on it. I need to smell good now I'm a TV star - I know I'm the only reason why anyone is watching the Bombadil videos.

I'm going back to sleep now.

A dog of very few words
They tell me I am supposed to blog today, being the Bombadil dog and all that. I'd prefer to sleep and enjoy the sunshine, but will do a bit of advertising instead.
I do not really want to be an author when I grow up, but they don't seem to quite understand that. I did not choose the T-shirt. writing is too much like hardwork and I just want to lie in my basket and enjoy the sunshine...hmmm....zzzzzz......
