Today Monday feels a little bit odd, an odd Monday. There are a few things that contribute to My odd Monday, I will list them below.
1. It´s nice weather!!! I can´t believe it but spring is here to stay, and me, the worst pessimist in the world when it comes to Mondays and weather has actually started to believe in nice weather on Mondays again. It feels nice not having to moan about those rainy, cold and dark Mondays anymore. Some how I had talked myself into that role as the moaning-monday-mistress. But no more, no, no, no. From now on I will salut these great Mondays, filled with sunshine and blue skies. Indeed.
2. Second thing on my odd Monday list is the fact that i´m not at the Bombadilian head quarter today. I´m actually in my hometown Trollhättan, sorting todays work out from here. I´m sitting by my kitchen table and I have to admit that my office chair is more comfy than my nans old wooden chairs.... Well, well, at least I have the privelige of sitting in my old Taewondo trousers, wearing the top that I wore on both friday and saturday.... and sunday. And no one is complaining about my bad breath or my dirty top. Lovely. The reason why i´m in Trollhättan today is that i´m off to a meeting with a creative coach that hopefully can help me (and Bombadil) to arrange a small event during the summer. Nothing is set so I´m gonna keep a bit hushush about it until I have some more information... So I guess I will have to jump in the shower sooner or later anyway... =/
3. The third odd Monday thing is that John has both texted and e-mailed me in Swedish today. That is well confusing. I almost start to believe that he is actually learning to speak and understand Swedish. As I said, well confusing on an odd Monday.

Obsessed about it.
Today it´s all about obsessions. I think I´ve listened to the same song about 25 times, and it´s just 14.30, now that´s a bit obsessed! Plus it´s Monday, which means that I´m as usual a bit tired from getting up early in order to drive my car for 3 hours to get here. Me+tired is often not a good combination, I tend to get a bit cranky and high maintenance in general, but there is a couple of tricks one can pull to raise my mood a bit.... namely: food!!! I guess it´s all about balance, lack of
energy in terms of not sleeping enough will be replaced with energy through FOOD. And coffee of course. So I guess I´m obsessing about food as well. Food and Fleetwood Mac. Not a bad combination at all actually. Silver Springs was the song anyway, by Fleetwood Mac. Tune indeed.
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours - Silver Springs
And I can´t stop thinking about the Poetry festival that Bombadil Publishing is attending on Saturday. I will be reading a few poems myself which is the result of not being able to take the Poetry festival off of my mind. We are 4 authors from Bombadil and on official festival leflets we are refered to as The Bombadil Publishing All Stars, neat! So I guess that´s being a bit obsessive too.
It´s nice weather anyway, on a Monday which I´m very suprised and impressed about, spring is here for real, at last. Welcome, please stay forever. And that´s all I have to say about that.

It´s snowing!!
So yes, it´s Monday and the weather is disapointing (suprised?!). It started snowing again, after a week of sunshine. Since all of us have kept our fingers crossed, hoping for some spring to arrive, today´s change of weather kind put at least me off a bit. But hope is the last to leave us someone cleaver once said, and I will not be put down by traditional Monday-weather. Before I would, but no. My hope is still with me!
Tomorrow John is going to Geneva, very exciting! He will be meeting up with some important people that are involved in the big "Turning the tide" project, but as well he will aparently be introduced to some people from UNESCO who started the worldbookday in 1995. Which is VERY exciting since John is the brain behind the 24 hours Worldbook-book that we are attempting to make. It might be a very long Worldbookday at the 23rd of april, but I guess it´s quite cool to be able to put on your resume that you´ve made a book in 24 hours! Quite cool indeed.
Personally I´m a bit nervous, speaking of the Worldbookday. My little baby-project for the Worldbookday is to get libraries and their visitors interactive in their local library. This I think partly can be achived by having people participating in a writing campaign. Basically we are encouraging people through their local library to send us novels, short story´s and poems on the topic "Me&books". Then we´ll publish the national Librarybook of Sweden! I´m not worried about the concept, but about people getting involved, I´m relying on the librarians committment, so yet again, fingers crossed. I like librarians, they are nice so I trust that they will do their best to get Swedish library visitors to contribute!
All for now,

It's a late Monday today one said to oneself.
It's a lateMonday indeed, it all staing started this morning with me having to return home three times before I managed to remeber to bring everything I kept forgetting. Along with the rather crucial weather situation I was not off to a good start.
I managed to get to the Bombadil office at a sensible time (fika-time) and the day turned out to be quite productive! My book "where's the manual" was completed today for exampel, me and Mari did the final touch and after that I proof read my own book, very interesting experience actually. It's hard killing your babies, luckily I didn't have to go that far, but managed to remove a couple of dots and adding a few capitals every here and there. So yes, this week Bombadil is sending off a new title for printing!
Another exciting thing that took place today was our new coworker, Veronika! She started her first day with painting her office, I fully understand her reasoning since the former colour was a very bemusing greenish sort of tone... Now Veronika's office has a light, shaded purple shade, much nicer indeed. Veronika will be participating in the media centre, which is going to be a place for young people to meet up and learn about media etc, it's very exciting to have Veronika with us since that means that it will start running quite soon =) which we all are looking forward to a lot!
The unofficial update of today is that John somehow has managed to look more tired than me this evening, which is an achivement one might say, certainly is. A qoute from John taken from a conversation me and him had last week will explain this very detailed:
"You might wanna put some make-up on"
We discussed taking a picture of me for the back of my book (soon to be published!) when John very kindly dropped that comment, the picture in the end was decided to be a black&white close-up shot of me with my eyes closed. So yes, an achivment indeed to manage to look more tired than I do, well done John!

Monday blogging on a Tuesday morning....
I give up, I surrender and I confess: I FORGOT. Ok, happy now? I forgot to blog yesterday, Monday is my holy day you see, I blog and I have kitchen duty. Both was more or less forgotten yesterday, I did manage to put on some coffee, but forgot to do the washing up (I did it this morning). For anyone who is not very familiar with the routine of kitchen duties at Bombadil Publishing shall now be enlightend:
"During one´s kitchen-duty-day one shall make sure that breweries such as coffee and tea is available at 10.00 am and at 15.00 pm. One shalla also keep the kitchen neat, clean and tidy"
I´m embaressed to admit that I failed yesterday. One can not succeed every Monday I guess.
After all it was a very productive Monday yesterday, the weather was maybe not at it´s best, but I don´t mind, everyone knows that Mondays has the delegation of being the weekday with crappy weather, that just how the world works. Today is beutiful though, snowy, sunny and freezing. Yeah, we still got winter for sure. I´m waiting for spring, I know it might be a bit early for expecting spring in February if you are located in the midlands of Sweden, but as a wise man or woman once said "Hope is the last to surrender".
As I said, yesterday was a productive Monday, indeed! It involved doing the setting for my book "Where´s the manual", which was great fun, Mari is really awsome and is helping me out a lot=)
I got a new collection of poems which I´ve been going through and the day finished off with me and John runing around the town church of Nora to get the last pictures for my book. Well John was taking lots and lots of artistic photographs whilst I was on the phone. But still, a very productive Monday, indeed.

Monday - here we go again
Yet another Monday, is casting it´s superior light upon us,
or shall I say;
Yet another Monday, is throwing some crap- weather in our face?!
I never really understod the deal with Mondays and bad weather, but trust me, if there will be bad weather at some point during the week it´s most likely to happen on Mondays. There must be some kind of fault, a screw
that is not properly tightened in the big construction called the universe that will make bad weather appear on Mondays....And only Mondays. Or it might just be my Monday-mood, you know that feeling don´t you? Your brain hasn´t turned itself on after the weekend, so everything just seem to be a bit greyish = Mondaymood.
That´s why it´s lovely to work at Bombadil! Because when I entered my office this morning (I was almost on regular time this Monday btw. Normally I stroll in at 10 o´clock since i´m driving 3h from my hometown to get here)
I found 3 presents as follows:
1. High back leather chair (that´s what it says on the carton)
2. Tiny, tiny bag of sweets =)
3. Stapler
I got really excited about my new office-accessories and started to unpack my new chair, and 1h later I had actually managed to put it together! Meanwhile I was struggling with the 5-step-instruction-sheet my dear colleague John were filming, I must mention that I wasn´t overlyexcited about this. When I shouted "It doesn´t work, where does this bit go?! The manual is too complicated!"
John would be standing on a chair filming me in some kind if artistic view from above with a big grin on his face, replying:
"It´ll be fine" (buy his book;) )
To me that was no help whatsoever. But at last I managed to get my office-chair together and I must say, It was well-worth the trouble. I´m now sat as a KING! Very comfy that is.
So I guess that Mondays isn´t that bad after all. I do have one request for next Monday, would anyone mind getting me some staples for my new stapler?
Yours truly,
Mondayblogger, Sara

At least we tried to film those old ladies!!

Yet another Monday,
Yes it is Monday, believe it or not. It´s quite amazing how quickly last week turned into a weekend and then turned out to be finished.
Yes it is Monday, believe it or not. It´s quite amazing how quickly last week turned into a weekend and then turned out to be finished.
So yes, it´s yet another Monday.Today at Bombadil we´ve had a quite ordinary day, well as ordinary it gets when you´re working at Bombadil Publishing. Me & John went into "town" (Nora, 11 000 inhabitants) to post some books that had been ordered, of course it all turned into a shooting-shorts-session and looked like two crazy buffoons that never seen a mailbox before in our life. We almost managed to get two elderly ladies on tape, but they sneaked by in the last minute so we unfortunately missed them!We also decided that Coop Konsum in Nora is our favorite-supermarket! Such lovely member of staff. All our love to Coop Konsum. We are even starting to find our way through that shop. Next week we do have to remember to bring our shopping list.... We now have enough pasta to feed an entire army... Well, well, I guess It might be handy if we would invite the local football-team over for lunch, perhaps?
By the way; I sincerely hope that no poor man or woman have missed our absolutely adorable "Shorts", our videoblog project! Check it out on youtube, just search Bombadil Publishing. That´s the reason why we were filming the mailbox in Nora earlier today, so whoever thought that those footages was for personal use has got it "om bakfoten" as we would say in Swedish. Translates into: "around the back of your foot", which basically means you´ve got it terribly wrong. So make sure not to miss these crazy-shorts, it´s a great opportunity to get to know us at Bombadil a bit better and you get to see our every day-to-day life here at the office!
So yeah, a typical Monday at Bombadil really.

Joey Tempest saved the day, kind of.

Monday, oh bloody Monday.
It´s a windy day in Gyttorp today, not just regular windy, but like orcane-windy. Someone should probably declare a storm-warning quite soon. I wouldn´t mind a small storm, loosing electricity for a couple of hours, I really wouldn´t mind. As long as it´s a warm and cosy storm, unfortunately it´s not, it´s a very cold "storm" as matter of fact. It´s a Monday-storm. Hidious and cold.
So imagine the wind blowing outside, it´s dark and everytime you walk outside the door it´s like a raw, cold hand is taking you by the throat. You´re in the middle of nowhere in the deep Swedish woods and you are trying your best to manage a website that isn´t really in the mood to be managed.Plus it´s Monday, oh bloody Monday.
I´ve managed to paint a pretty sad picture haven´t I?
Then imagine that your workmate is popping by your office with a framed Joey Tempest-poster! I can hardly describe the warmth that went through my negative, black heart at that very instant. I could compare it to having warm sand between your toes in the summer, or the first ride on your bike in the spring. Warmth, and a happy giggily feeling, that sort of feeling that blow your so called problems away.
So todays input is all about my great appriciation of Joey Tempest.
- Thank you Joey Tempest for making me realise that website-problems will aren´t impossible to solve(at least if you phone the nice support-guy, Andreas).
